Both New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach are located a little more than an hour away from some of Florida’s most popular amusement parks and attractions. Central Florida houses a number of vacation spots such as Walt Disney World, Universal, Sea World, and Lego Land.
Walt Disney World Resort (71 miles, 1.25 hours)
The Walt Disney World Resort is located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida and spans nearly 40 miles across Central Florida. The resort is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom each of which has a unique set of rides and entertainment to offer. Also located in Disney’s property are Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, Disney’s water parks which are open year round. Winter Summerland is a set of miniature golf courses, one summer themed and one winter themed. The resort is also home to countless other recreational activities such as horseback riding, biking, and golfing as well as world-class hotels and restaurants.
Universal Orlando Resort (64 miles, 1.25 hours)
The Universal Orlando Resort is home to two theme parks, a night-time entertainment and retail district, and four hotels. Islands of Adventure is a set of uniquely themed areas from Harry Potter to Marvel Comics, there is something for everyone. Universal Studios is themed by movies and television and features numerous rides, shows, and parades. The city comes alive at Universal’s CityWalk with a movie theater, live music, restaurants, and night clubs.
SeaWorld Orlando (68 miles, 1.25 hours)
SeaWorld Orlando is a marine mammal park and aquarium with countless live animal shows, exhibits, rides, and restaurants. Swim with dolphins at Discovery Cover or enjoy more water rides at their new water park Aquatica.
