Availability and Booking
OverviewThis Oceanview home is about 75 feet from the beach- much closer than most condo units, plus, none of the condo hassles-- no pool tags, no condo rules, no crowds- just the pure beautiful beach of New Smyrna! The house is 3 stories and has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. There is a walkover at the end of the street where it meets the old A1A road (yes- of Jimmy Buffett fame). You DO NOT have to cross A1A to get to the beach. It is 1 house off the beach, a 20 second walk. You don't need to leave your best friend home this vacation-- pets are welcome!
The first floor includes a large bedroom with its own private bath and the washer and dryer are on this floor as well. Enjoy amazing sunrises from the 2nd floor deck or 3rd floor balcony. Total, there are 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Here you'll find bedding for 8- king in master, queen in 2nd floor and 2 bunkbeds, one a full/twin and one twin/twin in the downstairs room.
The open-plan living/dining area is pretty fabulous too, with its ceramic flooring, high ceilings, and large windows. The modern sofas invite you to sink back and relax, and there's plenty of seating options for everyone to gather round and watch your favorite shows on the immense TV or play a game of foosball. There is high speed Wi-Fi in the home so make sure to bring your electronics!
Staying within walking distance of the ocean, you can talk long walks along the shore, hunt for seashells, build sandcastles or just relax with the gentle breeze and soothing sounds of the ocean. Grab a book from the stocked book shelf and relax.
Take a look at the recent upgrades and improvements: * New carpeting on the 1st floor stairs * Restocked kitchen items (wine glasses, cups, mugs, etc...) * New bath, hand, and face towels * New sheet sets * Addition of surge-protectors & USB charging stations in areas convenient for phone/tablet charging

July 23,2016- "Overall we were delighted with this property. The location and amenities were great. We were very satisfied!"
--Chris R., Maitland, FL
October 9, 2015 - The moment we walked in the door to the garage, my kids, aged 5, 8, and 10 squealed with excitement over 2 tubs of sand toys, boogie boards for everyone, and, the biggest hit was the surfboard. Or maybe the biggest hit was the football table? These things really made it a memorable experience. There is a national park (bring your kids' National Parks Passbook to get stamped!) just a few minutes down the road. JB's fishcamp has AMAZING seafood, and the opportunity to see manatee and dolphins from their docks. The location of this rental is perfect. The beach is one house away from the house. The road we cross to get there is more of an 'alley' to local traffic than a road. We never actually saw any cars cross in front of us the entire trip! We went mid October. Perhaps it is busier at other seasons. But, I would stand at the top of the boardwalk and watch my 5 year old walk home on his own. It's that close. My 8 year old son saw a sea turtle swimming in the water next to him, right near the beach. There were one or two other families at most on the beach, ever, within a hundred yards. It's a quiet area (at least when we went), and it feels like your own paradise. We already want to go back. - Theresa

May 31, 2015 - We have had such a lovely stay and will highly recommend this house and Great Oceans Condos to others. Thank you, again, for a pleasant experience. We look forward to sharing our experience with others and returning in the future. Kind regards.

May 23, 2015 - This beach house had everything, including the direct view of the ocean! The beach is literally just 75 steps from the front door. We were able to walk to and from the beach at our leisure and we could go back and forth to get snacks. No need to take everything with you as they have everything to use. The place is kept clean and well organized and I personally loved how everything was marked clearly where everything was located in the beach house. Everyone had a TV in their room which was awesome when everyone wanted to watch something different at night. We loved the location of Flounder beach house as we were close to all the restaurants (5 to 10 minutes) and we highly recommend the following locations: JB's Fish Camp, Norwoods Treehouse, Riverview Grille The beach house is very convenient and a wonderful, clean and family oriented beach (no car traffic). The location was close enough to allow us easy access to restaurants and shopping, but secluded enough for quiet evenings on the balcony. The beach itself is great as well, oftentimes there were no people to be seen anywhere, which is just awesome. I loved how secluded and peaceful the beach was as very few people and just what I needed for rest and relaxation. If you are looking for an wonderful, secluded, peaceful ideal beach retreat, this is a great place to stay and I highly recommend it for anyone.

April 22, 2015 - Beautiful beach home with ocean views, only steps to the beach. I stayed in April with my kids and enjoyed this beach house immensely. It had everything we could have asked for. For my children, the beach (a private beach) is only steps away and my kids enjoyed the many TVs in the house and its speedy wifi. The area is so safe with almost no traffic and there are many places nearby that offer activities and food for children. I also enjoyed the beach and many of the same things as did my kids but I especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and unwinding to the sounds of the beach and the sights of the ocean waves crashing on it. This experience helped us to reconnect and we will undoubtedly speak of our great vacation in the stupendous beach house for years to come.

January 10, 2015 - As a former Ritz-Carlton executive, I highly recommend this beach house. I was amazed at the ocean views, and really enjoyed waking up to the sound of the ocean on the deck. The house was immaculate upon my arrival, and I was pleasantly surprised how fast the wifi was, being so close to the ocean. The beach was secluded and access was just steps from the property. The best part was that I could walk to the Canaveral National Seashore, JBs Fish Camp - best seafood restaurant on the InterCoastal, and a public park with tennis courts, basketball courts and full playground for the kids. I liked the elephant made out of towels by the cleaning service - reminded me of a Disney cruise. When I see that level of detail, I know the owners care about my experience. Because A1A dead ends at this part of the coast just a mile down the road, there is very little traffic. I am recommending that my wife and her girlfriends rent this property for their next girl's excursion. We had some rain, so I was pleased to have an enclosed garage - that is not common when staying at a property this close to the ocean. I packed light, so I was pleased that there was a full-size washer & dryer. It is not often that I find a reasonably priced luxury beach house, clean, with ocean views and easy beach access. I stopped by Publix on the way to the house, stocked up, and spent the week grilling, enjoying the beach and relaxing on the deck enjoying the ocean. For me, it felt like a second home, and that was the experience I was looking for.

January 7, 2015 - Stayed a Week in September. This beach house had everything, including the direct view of the ocean! The beach is literally just 75 steps from the front door. Our kids were able to walk to/from the beach at their leisure to get snacks, drinks, boogie-boards etc... The family area is totally setup for hanging out and enjoying the ocean view and foosball! The place is kept clean and well organized. We loved having the 3 flat-panel TVs & cable. The WiFi was exceptionally fast, allowing my wife and I to "sneak" in a bit of work emails. We especially loved the 10-minute stroll along the beach to PJ's Crab Shack for dinner & drinks (no driving!).
